Transitioning to Natural Skincare Products

Your skin is the largest organ of your body, so there is no doubt that it plays an extremely major role in our lives everyday. It's exposed to the outside world, full of pollutants and debris that can irritate the skin, some more than others. The road to better skin is not too long of a ride, but there's just some things you may need to understand so that it's not interpreted wrong. 

 

Skin Purging

Skin purging is completely normal for anyone transitioning to a more natural skin care regimen. The period of time that it takes for the chemicals and pollutants for your skin to detox is about 3-6 weeks, but we promise, there is light on the other side of the tunnel - so don't give up, and you'll be very happy when its over. 

If you are experiencing skin purging, we recommend drinking lots and lots of water, eating bright colored vegetables and fruits, and exercising 2-3 times a week (sweat helps to push dirt and clean out the pores), just make sure to wash your face immediately after sweating.  

Not to be mistaken with allergic reactions, rashes are very different than skin purging, and if you are experiencing irritations, stop further use.
